How will my donation be used?
Exactly as shown in the cost table above — hosting, bandwidth, power, development tools, email, and domains. Roughly $1,170/month keeps everything running. Anything above that goes to development hardware and infrastructure redundancy (a second internet provider is next).
Why does the PayPal QR say "BTHLCorp"?
CasterClub operates under BTHLCorp, our parent company. Donations processed through PayPal may show BTHLCorp as the recipient — that's us, it's legit.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
No — CasterClub/BTHLCorp is a for-profit entity focused on developing streaming technology. Donations directly fund open-source development that benefits the entire streaming community. We provide receipts for all donations for your records.
What payment methods do you accept?
PayPal (credit/debit cards), CashApp ($thetrainsmith), and Venmo (@davidstj). All methods are secure and you'll receive confirmation of your donation. For large donations or alternative payment methods, contact us at donations@casterclub.com.
Can I donate anonymously?
Absolutely. Check "Keep my donation anonymous" before donating, or simply write "anonymous" in PayPal's optional note field. Your donation still counts toward the monthly goal, but your name will never appear in Recent Supporters. (We only ever display first names regardless.)
Can I donate monthly?
Yes! PayPal supports recurring monthly donations through our campaign page — check the "monthly recurring" box before donating. Monthly supporters are the backbone of our budget. You can modify or cancel recurring donations anytime through your PayPal account.
How do I get my donor benefits?
After donating, send your receipt to donations@casterclub.com with your forum username (if applicable). We'll activate your benefits within 24-48 hours. Forum badges and early access features are automated for PayPal donations.
